Environment and Nature
The campsite Vallée de la Creuse (before LA GARENNE) is located in EGUZON CHANTOME in the Indre, in the Centre, where you can set off to roam the trails of the Brenne national park, the land of a thousand lakes and discover the "garden of France". The campsite in Eguzon is located 2 km away by the River "la Creuse", 4 km away by the Lake d'Eguzon, and 4 km away near a water sport centre: Base de plein aire d'Eguzon
In the south of the department (36) Indre, between the provinces of the Berry and Limousin you will find here Eguzon and the Valley of the Creuse. Located in the foothills of the Massif Central mountain range, you will find a protected and authentic nature. Inspiration for famous French painters and writers such as Monet and Guillaumin, George Sand and Rollinat.
Lac Eguzon and the irrigation dam
In 1926 there is a lake created of 312 hectares, by putting an area under water just outside Eguzon, this after building the biggest dam in Europe at that time. Eguzon and Valley Creuse offer a wide choice in the tourist industry such as water sports, cycling, hiking and many, sometimes hidden culture.

The Lac Eguzon is just 4 km from the campsite. Here you can among other things:

Vissers
Vissen doe je op onze eigen vijver, of op één van de vele meertjes, rivieren en beekjes. La Vallée de la Creuse is een waar paradijs voor vissers!
Uitstapjes voor het gezin
Een uitstapje voor het hele gezin naar bijvoorbeeld het klimbos; Tarz en arbre, een avontuurlijk klimpark voor het hele gezin, midden in het bos met 7 verschillende parcoursen.
Bijzonder is ook het Parc Animalier des Monts de Gueret waar verschillende soorten wolven leven. Of het enorm grote labyrint in het hart van het Guéret-gebergte, het prachtige gebied van de Creuse, heerlijk om een uitstapje te maken omdat eguzon zich op de grens van de creuse bevindt, een prachtige route om van de mooie natuur te genieten


Vele sportieve activiteiten
De sportliefhebber hoeft zich op onze camping niet te vervelen. In het gebied van La Vallée de la creuse en in het lac d'Eguzon kun je onder andere waterskiën, kanovaren en windsurfen. Ook kun je hier prima mountainbiken door de verschillende gebieden. De wandel- en mountainbikeroutes zijn verkrijgbaar bij het Office de Tourisme. Ook zijn er ludieke routes voor kinderen met raadsels oplossen voor de leeftijden van 4/6 jaar, 7/9 jaar, 10/12 jaar en voor de ouders.
Fishing
For anglers it is a true paradise! The lakes, rivers, streams and lakes offer great fishing spots. Example, you can fish for trout in rivers in la Creuse, la la Clavière and Gargilesse. Eguzon itself you can buy the necessary fishing license.

Castles
In the cultural sphere there is much to see in the area. For example, among other castles in Parnac, Gargilesse, museums in Argenton-sur-Creuse, Chaillac, Saint-Marcel and ruins of the castle in Crozant.
Shopping and markets
Every Wednesday there is a small market in the morning with various regional products, clothing, etc. In July and August there is on Friday afternoon / evening a market with regional products. You are also welcome in november The Chestnut Festival: 3 days of themed walks on the banks of lakes and Creuse. 2 days of celebration around the chestnut gastronomy with 2 days a market near the church.
